Paying with Google Pay
Google Pay lets you pay with a card stored in your Google Account without sharing the card number with us. Here is what happens when you choose it:
- Google Pay opens in a secure sheet and you confirm with your device unlock, fingerprint or face.
- Google sends a single-use, device-specific payment token to our payment processor.
- Our processor authorises the payment and returns a confirmation with the card brand and last four digits.
- We receive no card number, no CVV and no Google Account credentials — only the transaction reference needed to fulfil and refund your order.
Google Pay availability depends on your device, browser and the cards issued in your country. If the button does not appear, your device or card may not support it; every other method remains available. For help with the wallet itself, see Google Pay support.
When you are charged
Submitting an order creates a pending authorisation — a hold, not a charge. We capture the payment when the order is accepted and prepared for dispatch. If an item is out of stock, we capture only the value of what ships and release the remainder immediately. Pending authorisations typically disappear from your statement within 1–7 business days depending on your bank.
Currency, taxes and duties
- Prices are displayed in USD by default. You can switch to EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD or SGD at the top of the page.
- The amount charged is always the amount confirmed on the final checkout screen, including shipping, duties and taxes.
- If your card is issued in a different currency, your bank applies its own exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee. We do not receive or control that fee.
- EU prices include US sales tax. US sales tax is calculated by the payment processor based on your delivery address.
Security
| Measure | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| PCI DSS Level 1 | Our payment provider meets the highest card-industry security standard. Card data never touches our servers. |
| TLS 1.2+ / HSTS | All traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted and forced over HTTPS. |
| 3-D Secure (SCA) | Your bank may ask you to approve the payment in its app. This protects you against unauthorised use. |
| Tokenisation | Google Pay and saved cards are stored as tokens, not numbers. A token is useless if stolen. |
| Fraud screening | Orders are screened for stolen cards and account takeover. Suspicious orders are reviewed by a person before dispatch. |
| Annual penetration testing | Independent security firms test our storefront and checkout every year; findings are remediated before release. |
We will never email you asking for card details, passwords or one-time codes. If you receive a message that appears to come from us and asks for any of these, do not reply — forward it to security@northridge.com.
What appears on your statement
Charges appear as NORTHRIDGE followed by your order number. If you do not recognise a charge with that descriptor, contact us before disputing it with your bank — we can usually identify and resolve it the same day. A receipt is emailed immediately after payment, and a VAT invoice (where applicable) is attached to the dispatch email.
Refunds
Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. Google Pay refunds go to the card or account behind the token used at checkout and appear in your Google Pay activity. Card refunds usually post within 3–5 business days; your bank may take up to 10. See the Returns & Refunds Policy for the full timeline.
Payment help
If a payment fails, check that the billing address matches your card, that your card is enabled for international transactions, and that your bank has not blocked the merchant. If it still fails, try another method — Google Pay, PayPal or a different card — or contact us:
